and Employee Relations
The Personnel Services Department provides labor and employee
relations advice; employee counseling; staff recruitment and
selection; education and training programs; policy development
and administration; employee assistance; wage and salary administration;
and performance management programs.
Risk Management
Risk management ensures compliance with employment laws and
avoidance of employment litigation; oversight of workers compensation;
statutory reporting and compliance; participates in the property
damage subrogation process for the District; administers employee
benefit programs insuring over 800 District employees and
dependents; and coordinates the insurance coverage of $1 billion
of District assets.
Summary
The District employs approximately 300 full-time employees.
Each year, RCID Personnel Services recruits and processes
an average of 33 new employees.
In concert with all other District departments, the department
is constantly working to build stronger relationships between
departments that generate the teamwork essential to efficiency
and quality people programs.
