The plan provides coverage for routine eye examinations, required corrective lenses and frames when listed providers are used.
MEDICAL FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT
This is a reimbursement plan that allows employees to utilize pre-tax earnings to cover the out-of-pocket cost for eligible health care expenses that are not covered by medical insurance. Participation in this plan is voluntary.
DEPENDENT CARE SPENDING ACCOUNT
This is a reimbursement plan that allows employees to utilize pre-tax earnings to cover out-of-pocket cost for eligible dependent care expenses. Participation in this plan is voluntary.
EMPLOYEE SHORT-TERM DISABILITY
Short-term disability benefits are available after a one-week waiting period.
EMPLOYEE LONG-TERM DISABILITY
Long-term disability benefits are available after a 90-day waiting period.
EMPLOYEE LIFE INSURANCE
Basic life insurance is provided at the rate of 200% of an employee’s base annual earnings; accidental death and dismemberment coverage is two times the employee’s life insurance amount. An employee may purchase additional life insurance coverage, subject to limitations.
DEPENDENT LIFE INSURANCE
Optional spouse life insurance and optional child dependent life may be purchased.
Reedy Creek contributes to the cost of your pension with the Florida Retirement System.
Employees have choice between the Pension Plan or the Investment Plan.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLANS
Deferred Compensation is an optional benefit provided by RCID to assist employees with additional retirement saving. No federal income tax is paid on salary deferred or any of the investment earnings until it is drawn out at retirement. (There may be tax implications for an early withdrawal.)
Partial reimbursement for tuition and books
RCID recognizes ten paid holidays. Holidays for employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement are as determined by such agreement.
Bereavement leave is provided for all employees. Bereavement leave may be used for the death of an eligible defined family member.
This is a paid benefit in which leave is accrued each pay period. The accrual rate for employees is determined by job classification.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
This prepaid professional counseling service is designed to help solve personal problems.
Employees and/or members of their households may use this benefit. A private, off-site company manages the assistance program. Any assistance received is completely confidential. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
Passes, discount cards, special offers and promotions are made available to employees for area attractions, restaurants, and retail businesses.
